Have you ever dreamed of having your very own miniature wooden sculpture of the Library or the old Aliquippa High School? Do you wish you had a sweatshirt that will not only keep you cozy in the chillier months but also declare your devotion to BFJ? For these, and other BFJ-related memorabilia, the Friends have you covered.
Available for purchase at the Library are miniature wooden sculptures of both the B.F. Jones Memorial Library and the old Aliquippa High School, which was demolished in 2009. Created by Cat’s Meow, these are both perfect gifts for folks who have ever loved these Aliquippa landmarks. ($25 each)
In 2023, the Library unveiled the official portrait of BFJ: “Then, Now, Forever,” by Linda Barnicott. While the original hangs in the Director’s Office at the Library, you can acquire your own copy in two sizes of prints, or on magnets ($5), Christmas ornaments, or bookmarks ($20). These are also available for purchase at the Library.
In 2020, with typical fundraising options curtailed by the COVID-19 quarantine and its aftermath, the Friends launched a series of BFJ apparel. With several designs available in several styles, you can proclaim that there’s “no place like home” or that you’d “rather be reading,” while also hyping your favorite Library. There’s also a special holiday design, and a 2023-exclusive Christmas tote bag design. Click here and check out the online store for all the goodies!
Also available at the Library is Arcadia Publishing’s Aliquippa. Compiled by the Friends’ own Cindy and Ed Murphy, proceeds from the book go right back to the Library. These also make a terrific gift for Aliquippians near and far. ($21.99 + tax)
