Book Cart Naming Ceremony

Meet our new carts!

When the time came to replace the Library’s book transport carts, the Friends helped fund their replacement in concert with donations from the very generous Library community. Seven new carts were purchased, in a veritable (and literal) rainbow of colors. The carts were officially introduced to their adoring public on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in a whimsical ceremony that was livestreamed on the Library’s Facebook page.

Cart Vader, George S. Carton, Roberto Cartmente, Cartney Co, Fairy Cartmother, Lord Voldecart, and Dolly Carton have already made their mark on the Library, and can be spotted hard at work in their dedicated stations.
